I love the 4th of July. I love the music, I love the spirit in the air, I love that everyone smiles and is kind to others. I love that we are able to celebrate our freedom! I hope everyone who is reading this has taken the time to pay respect to those who have made our freedom possible. What amazing men and women we have that have fought for our country. We are truly blessed in this land.
Today was a kick back relaxed day. I think I actually felt human for a few minutes. This morning was the local small town parade. My girlfriends and I took claim of our favorite spot last night about 11:00pm. In typical form, we arrived casually this morning to enjoy our front row seats in a prime location. Loved it! Well as much as I love parades. It was great to see so many people who I haven’t seen in what seems like forever. We enjoyed the company of friends this afternoon, a little bit of down time and then off to the neighborhood fireworks display. This was no small display. Everything was stratigicly chosen to fly high in the sky and burst over our heads. When I say “burst over our heads”, I mean exactly that. They were launched from about 20 feet in front of us straight up. With a very slight wind that pushed them over us and there it was. Spectacular! Sheer Beauty! and So much fun!
With the help of Caryn Esplin’s tutorial on how to take pictures of Fireworks, Improve Photography Facebook posts and Dustin Olsen posting on a few of his own personal pictures I took the information and tried it all. I came away with some fun pictures and for a first try I’m thrilled with.
What do you think?
